The session (which includes Pastor David Choi) serves as the governing body of Praise Presbyterian Church (EC), overseeing all ministry functions as well as providing overall direction and guidance to the church, and is guided by Christ’s sacrificial example of servant-leadership.
Heeki Park – Elder
Heeki has been attending and serving at Praise Church since 2002. Heeki currently oversees the Fellowship Group ministry and Program Management. Heeki graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002 with a BS in Computer Science and Engineering and currently works at FusionStorm, working as a Solutions Architect for data center infrastructure. Heeki’s happy family comprises his wife, Sue and son, Josiah. |
Jason Kim – Elder
Jason has been attending PPC since January of 1995, his freshman year at Rutgers. He’s been coming here ever since and has been blessed to be a part of the community for so long. He met his wife, Danielle, at PPC and they are now expecting their first baby (or perhaps by the time you read this, the baby will have arrived!) He works as a web developer for Hearst Magazines and serves the communications and missions ministries for Praise. |

Francis Ryu – Elder
Francis and his wife, Katherine, and his two children, Isaac and Janey, found themselves at PPC in the spring of 2004. Since coming to PPC, Francis and his family have been able to make good friends and to serve together with others at Praise. When not helping out at church, Francis works at a software firm as a project manager; however, he looks forward to the day that he can be a full time project manager at home making sure that the trash is taken out and that the kids finish their homework. |

David Choi -Senior Pastor
David Choi has been the pastor of Praise Presbyterian Church (English Congregation) since 1999. He has been married to his wife (Hyun Kyung) since 1993 and they have been blessed with three children (Peter, Lydia, and Maximus). They currently reside in Princeton, NJ. Pastor David was born in South Korea in 1964 and emigrated to the U.S. (to Buffalo/Niagara Falls) with his parents and two sisters in 1972. After college (Brown University ’87), he was led to the ministry, and has completed his studies at Princeton Theological Seminary. (M. Div. ’93; Th. M. ’94; Ph.D. in Church History ’03) His prior ministerial experiences include work as a youth pastor at Sandol (1990-1993); Palisades (1993-1994); and Trenton (1994-1998) Presbyterian Churches. He has had the privilege to work with various youth groups, college fellowships and English-speaking ministries throughout the country, as well as to have participated in short-term missions work in Japan, Mexico, Malawi, and Russia. |

Eunice Park – Children Ministry Pastor
Eunice was born in Inchon, Korea and raised in Flushing, New York. She graduated with a BA in political science and communications from Queens College and a Master of Arts from Princeton Theological Seminary. Her love for children led her to pursue an alternative route to becoming an elementary school teacher through Princeton University – Teacher’s Preparation Program. Eunice has taught for 6 years as an elementary teacher. She is certified as a New York City, New York State and a New Jersey teacher. She has been serving as a Children’s Pastor since 1998 and currently serves as the children’s ministry pastor. She enjoys spending time with her husband Junghoon, daughter Katie, son Stephen, cooking, baking, traveling (historical sites) and reading children’s literature. |

Esther Liu- Youth Group Pastor
Esther attended PPC for the first time in 2006 as a freshman at Rutgers. Through the nurturing community at Praise, she grew immensely in her faith and was baptized two years later. She is currently studying at Westminster Theological Seminary for her MDiv degree, specializing in Biblical Counseling. |
