What is your role as a volunteer?
It depends on your skills, but we really need more volunteers! Your true responsibility will be get as much information, from the varying ministries of this church, and relay it to the rest of the church. We work together as a team and split up tasks according to skills and gifts and will train you if you’re interested in other areas.
What qualities and specific skills do you need?
- Must know how to use the Internet & Email & Web
- HTML – Nice to have, but not required
- PHP – Nice to have, but not required
- Good writing skills (for Content Writer/Manger position)
- Ever make a post on xanga? Then you have all the skills we need.
Why join this ministry?
The PPC Website is quickly becoming the single most efficient medium of relaying information about the church to our current members, potential members, and web surfers. Our vision for this ministry is two fold:
- Attract the unchurched to Praise Church via the web.
- Help members discover and participate in the various different ministries of this church.
How much time do I need to commit?
Not much at all. The maximum amount of work will probably be once a week, and however long it takes you to write an email, or a post a new calendar event or announcement. Development work is a different story and depends on the size of the project.
